Brandon Lowe belts three-run homer Tuesday
by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Tue, Jun 2nd 11:59pm EDT
Brandon Lowe went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run on Tuesday, helping the Pirates to a 10-6 victory over the Astros.
Fantasy Impact:
Lowe broke open a two-run game in the top of the eighth with a three-run bomb off of Bryan Abreu to extend the Pittsburgh lead to 9-4. It was Lowe's team-leading 15th home run of the season, moving him into a tie for fourth in the National League. He also looks poised to break the franchise record for most home runs by a second baseman in a single season - Neil Walker currently holds the record with 23 round trippers in 2014.
