Anthony Kay allowed four earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out two over four innings in Wednesday’s loss to the Yankees.

Kay has fallen back to earth on the mound, allowing four earned runs or more in two of his last three trips to the mound. The left-hander remains one of the more inconsistent starting options in the White Sox rotation for manager Will Venable, posting a 4.61 ERA and 1.44 WHIP with a 6-2 record and 7.0 K/9 ratio through 15 appearances.
