Marcus Semien drives in two with triple Thursday

Marcus Semien went 2-for-4 with a two-run triple in Thursday’s win over the Phillies. He delivered the key hit of the game in the seventh inning, ripping a two-out triple off Jose Alvarado to extend New York’s lead from 4-3 to 6-3. Semien also added a single in the victory.

Semien is now slashing .225/.283/.362 with nine home runs, 26 RBI, and six stolen bases through 298 plate appearances in his first season with the Mets.
