Sean Burke allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk while striking out eight over 7 1/3 innings in Thursday’s win over the Yankees.

Burke continues a solid stretch on the mound of late, allowing two earned runs or less in four of his last six trips to the mound. The right-hander has offered manager Will Venable one of the more stable options every fifth day, carrying a 3.89 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with a 4-4 record and 9.0 K/9 ratio through 15 appearances.
