Bryce Miller taken out after 66 pitches Friday

Bryce Miller allowed one run on three hits over five innings with seven strikeouts in a loss on Friday against the Red Sox.

Fantasy Impact:

The Mariners announced earlier in the week they would be implementing a piggyback plan starting on Friday through the All-Star break. It did not work out well to start as Miller was cruising through five frames at just 66 pitches before Luis Castillo came in which led to the game getting out of hand. Miller has been the Mariners best starter since his return from injury, but his upside will be limited for fantasy managers if this plan continues.
