Tigers right-hander Casey Mize pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits while earning the win over the Rangers on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact:
Mize stayed locked in in this one, yielding five hits and two walks across 6 2/3 innings to earn his fourth win of the season. He struck out four. He surrendered a solo homer to Jake Burger to open the scoring in the third inning and a Brandon Nimmo RBI single in the fifth, but otherwise held the Rangers in check, throwing 66 of his 94 pitches for strikes in the process. Surprisingly not named an All-Star, Mize is enjoying a career year, and will take a 2.64 ERA into his next scheduled start at home against the Phillies on Saturday.
