David Peterson allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out three across 5.2 innings in Monday's 7-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact:
While Peterson finished one out shy of his second straight quality start, he still limited St. Louis to three hits and fewer than two runs. He ended July with a 5.57 ERA and 1.29 WHIP, though those numbers were heavily impacted by his July 3 start against the Cardinals, when he allowed 10 runs. In his three starts since that outing, Peterson has allowed just three runs across 17.2 innings. His next scheduled start is on Saturday against the New York Yankees.
