Tigers right-hander Keider Montero allowed six runs (four earned) on nine hits across 4 1/3 innings, taking the loss at home against the Orioles on Monday.
Fantasy Impact:
The Orioles got to Montero early in this one, scoring one in the first, two in the second, and one more in the third. The O's also struck for another three runs in the fifth while chasing Montero from the contest after collecting nine hits, including a homer, and a walk while striking out just once against him. While Montero had been fantastic for the Tigers for much of the season, some regression was likely as his 4.50 xFIP and 4.36 SIERA sit well above his 3.34 ERA through 23 outings (17 starts) this season. If he makes his next turn through the Tigers' rotation, he lines up to take on the Athletics on the road on Sunday.
