Peter Lambert allowed two earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over five innings in Saturday's loss to the Padres.

Lambert continues a strong stretch on the mound of late, allowing two earned runs or less in each of his last seven contests. The right-hander offers manager Joe Espada one of the few stable arms in an underwhelming Astros rotation, carrying a 3.09 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with an 8-6 record and 8.8 K/9 ratio through 20 starts.
