Nick Martinez tossed a complete game in Tuesday’s 12-4 win over the Athletics, allowing four runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out five.
Fantasy Impact:
Martinez tossed his second career complete game on just 101 pitches. He gave up two runs in the fourth on a Lawrence Butler homer and two more in the ninth on a Carlos Cortes double, but was still able to go the distance. Through 23 starts this season, he owns a 2.74 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. His next scheduled start is on Monday against the Baltimore Orioles.
