Jimmy Butler exits game with sprained left thumb

Butler sprained his left thumb in Sunday night's win over Charlotte. It appeared to happen with five minutes left in the 1st quarter, when Butler deflected a Michael Kidd-Gilchrist pass. Butler played the rest of the quarter, but was ruled out before the half.
Fantasy Impact:
The Bulls shooting guard finished with 11 points on the night. Chicago wraps up the preseason on Friday and will start the regular season against the Knicks on Oct. 29. Butler could need 2-6 weeks of recovery time if the injury is anything more than a sprain.
