Jimmy Butler ruled out for Wednesday's season opener in New York

Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters early Wednesday morning that Butler will likely miss between 2 and 4 weeks with a left thumb injury. “My thumb has to be able to hold up, and not reinjure myself,” Butler told the Chicago Tribune. “I think that’s the most important thing. I think obviously everyone knows I want to play, but I don’t want to rush back too early.” (K.C. Johnson)

Fantasy Impact:

This is a tough break for Butler and the Bulls. He was coming on in the preseason as his shot has improved noticeably. Butler ADP of 75 is a good spot for anyone looking for a high-upside SG. When he returns he should be a very solid start each game.
