Wendell Carter Jr. ends streak of eight straight games in double-figures

by Christopher Berg | Magic Correspondent | Tue, Nov 13th 9:03am EST

Wendell Carter Jr. finished Monday night's 103-98 loss to the Mavericks with just seven points on 3-for-9 shooting, missing all three of his attempts from beyond the arc. Carter Jr. did grab 10 rebounds and added one assist, two blocks and one steal across 27 minutes of action. It's the fourth time in the past five games he's finished with 10 or more rebounds.

Fantasy Impact:

While he did only score seven points, it's still not too far off his season average of 11. Carter Jr. can be counted on more for his defensive stats like rebounding and blocks than he can for his offense. That being said he was working on a streak of eight straight games scoring in double-figures before ending that Monday night. He's averaged over 12 points and 10 rebounds per game over his past five. He has become a nightly threat for a double-double, which makes him worthy of fantasy consideration in all formats. Keep an eye on his improving offense, he definitely has the kind of upside that would benefit his fantasy owners.
