Caris LeVert seems to be making a positive impression during the early stages of the Nets’ preparation for the restart. Coach Jacque Vaughn said that LeVert has impressed him the most since the Nets have returned to practice and that he is playing with some swagger. (Alex Schiffer on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

LeVert will undoubtedly be heavily relied on as the Nets look to rebuild a team greatly impacted by the coronavirus and the social unrest within the United States. The combination of his healthy relationship with coach Vaughn and his playing with new swag could be the catalysts needed to galvanize this new-look Nets squad successfully. Despite injury setbacks, LeVert has managed to hit career highs in several major statistical categories this year. He has played in 39 contests this season and has averaged 29 minutes of playing time, 17.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, all of which, apart from steals, were career highs. Although there are question marks as to how the Nets’ rotation will look and perform, one could safely say that LeVert is a prime candidate to see his role and usage increased tremendously come competition time. His consistency, ability to stuff the stat sheet, and production potential should put him close to must-start territory. However, it may still be wise to pay close attention to how the Nets are progressing to obtain a better understanding of how LeVert will be used come competition time.
