Caris LeVert shines in season finale with 37/6/9

by Dan Titus | Cavaliers Correspondent | Fri, Aug 14th 5:02am EDT

Caris LeVert scored 37 points (16-29 FG, 1-5 3PT, 4-4 FT) along with nine rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block, and six turnovers across 33 minutes in a narrow 134-133 loss to the Trail Blazers.

Fantasy Impact:

LeVert was masterful in Thursday's primetime event, putting on a show and decimating the Trail Blazers defense (mainly Gary Trent Jr.) on his way to a team-high 37 points. He single-handedly willed the Nets in the fourth quarter that ended with LeVert missing a game-winning step-back jumper at the buzzer. LeVert was going shot for shot with the soon-to-named Bubble MVP, Damian Lillard, and it was a fine tuneup for LeVert as he and the Nets kick off the first round of the playoffs on Monday against the Toronto Raptors. LeVert ends the Orlando Bubble averaging an impressive 25.0 points, 6.7 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 0.5 blocks, and 1.3 three's per game on 48% shooting from the field across six games.
