Russell Westbrook traded to Wizards for John Wall

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports the Rockets are trading Russell Westbrook to the Washington Wizards in exchange for John Wall and a first-round pick. (Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Thus ends the Westbrook era in Houston. The 32-year-old simply wasn't a good match to play alongside James Harden, and he'll now join forces with Bradley Beal in Washington. Westbrook averaged 27.2 points per game this past season, which was his highest mark since the 2016-17 campaign. As for the newest Rocket, it was previously reported Wall likely won't play on back-to-backs this year and that he could also be on a minutes restriction.
