Obi Toppin totaled 11 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3PT, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, one assist, and one steal in the Pacers’ 143-120 win over the Wizards.

Fantasy Impact:

Toppin scored 11.0 points in the Pacers’ win over the Wizards, putting together a full game in only 19.0 minutes of play, in which he contributed to several performance categories on the stat sheet. A fan favorite in New York, he has now taken his talents to the Midwest and has once again shown, albeit very early, the potential he can tap into when provided the opportunity to dig deep into his bag and demonstrate the versatility and efficiency of his game. The Pacers are stacked with talent and could do some serious damage in the East this season if able to capitalize on the uniqueness of their roster. Toppin could be a big part of that, depending on how well he is utilized in the scheme. This can be said for many players; however, the third-year pro is poised to make a big impact on the team and our fantasy rosters. Last season, Toppin averaged 15.7 minutes of playing time, 7.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.3 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game while shooting 44.6 percent from the floor and 34.4 percent from beyond the arc. As mentioned, it is still very early, but Toppin should be on fantasy radars so that maybe you can come out on "top" in your leagues. See what I did there? Ok, I’ll stop. In all seriousness, he is worth keeping an eye on at this point in deep-league play, and certainly daily depending on how things shape up.
