Fantasy Football Player Notes

2019 PPR Rest of Season Rankings
Nick Chubb Note
Nick Chubb photo 17. Nick Chubb RB - (at CIN)
While Carlos Hyde was the lead back in Cleveland, they made him a workhorse then Chubb took over and saw 18.6 carries per game over the next 9 contests. It seems clear that he will be a 20 touch per game weapon for fantasy owners this year and should find his way into the end zone more often in what will be a much improved offense.

Odell Beckham Jr. Note
Odell Beckham Jr. photo 34. Odell Beckham Jr. WR - (at CIN)
Beckham has just two 100-yard games so far this season, and a mere 34 receptions through five games. It's not the easiest schedule for the Browns, and with the offense struggling to get going, it's looking more and more likely that Beckham will be one of the bigger busts of the season. Still, he has as much play-making ability as any receiver in the league, so be wary of selling too low.

Jarvis Landry Note
Jarvis Landry photo 43. Jarvis Landry WR - (at CIN)
Landry saw 149 targets last year and did next to nothing with them. Now that Odell Beckham is in town, Landry should become nothing more than a weekly flex play.

Austin Hooper Note

Hooper has now scored in three straight games and is simply having a marvelous season. Atlanta may be in the midst of an awful season, but that hardly matters for their offense, which continues to play from behind and maximize its receiving options. With few reliable tight ends, Hooper is extremely valuable this year, and there's no reason to expect it to end.

Kareem Hunt Note
Kareem Hunt photo 61. Kareem Hunt RB - (at CIN)
Yes, Hunt has a terrific season from a fantasy perspective last year, but that has always been the case with Andy Reid running backs. Hunt may be worth nothing outside of that, and even if he is, that doesn't mean he will unseat Nick Chubb when he comes back three months into the season. This should be a hard pass in the 10th round for fantasy owners.

Baker Mayfield Note
Baker Mayfield photo 129. Baker Mayfield QB - (at CIN)
If you trusted Mayfield last week against the Dolphins, you should be hanging onto him to slot him into lineups next week. The Cardinals have allowed 10 different quarterbacks finish as the QB11 or better this year, and Mayfield finally has a full complement of weapons with Beckham, Landry, Chubb, Hunt, and Njoku.

David Njoku Note
David Njoku photo 212. David Njoku TE - (at CIN)
Njoku has more talent than just about anyone on waivers and by far the best matchup, but he only played around 20 snaps in his return last week despite just a wrist injury that Njoku says he is healed from. This is a risky play, but one with tons of upside.

Case Keenum Note
Case Keenum photo 337. Case Keenum QB - (at CIN)
Other than the game against the Giants when he was pulled early, Keenum has thrown multiple touchdown passes in every game he has started, including against the Bears. He's not pretty, but in a two-quarterback league, you could do worse as a low-end starter.
