Point Guards

Russell Westbrook (OKC): $11,8000 vs. NYK
Westbrook shouldn’t even be a question after just posting the most triple-doubles in a season (43) passing the great Oscar Robertson. To make it even sweeter, he opens with the Knicks at home. Westbrook should be in all DFS lineups on Thursday.

Milos Teodosic (LAC): $5,300 at LAL
A new face for the Clippers who will be helping Patrick Beverly replace Chris Paul who left for Houston. Teodosic is a solid passer and a player who can create shots for teammates off the dribble. Teodosic’s style of play gels better with the likes of Lou Williams, Blake Griffin and Danilo Gallinari, who can all spot up and knock down shots. Even early on in the season, I’m leaning towards Teodosic over Beverly as the assists should pile up for Teodosic. He’s a solid value play here.

Shooting Guards

Tim Hardaway Jr (NYK): $5,500 at OKC
Hardaway returns to New York, where he began his career and is looking to continue his strong play from last season in Atlanta. Hardaway posted career-best numbers last season with 14.5 points per game on 45 percent shooting from the floor. After the Carmelo Anthony trade, it opens up more for Hardaway and Kristaps Porzingis. Hardaway is a solid value play at his current price tag ($5,500) which shouldn’t be there too much longer.

Justin Holiday (CHI): $6,500 at TOR
Holiday steps into an incredible opportunity in Chicago with Dwayne Wade now in Cleveland and Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and Nikola Mirotic all out with injuries. Holiday is essentially there best option on offense and could be one of the top DFS plays on Thursday night. I’m getting him into my lineup with confidence.

Small Forwards

Paul George (OKC): $8.600 vs. NYK
George now joins Russell Westbrook and recently acquired Carmelo Anthony is Oklahoma City. George is a solid play on all nights but a matchup with the Knicks is even better. I’m expecting all three stars on the Thunder to go off tonight including Melo against his former team. PLAY YOUR STUDS!

CJ Miles (TOR): $4,000 vs. CHI
Miles presents a slight risk here in DFS lineups but on a night with only three games, most owners will look for that spark or diamond in the rough. Miles and Norman Powell are likely to split time at the three but both should be solid value DFS value plays. I like Miles in this one for his three-point shooting and his recent preseason performance of 27 points against the same Bulls squad. (I know its just preseason but still)

Power Forwards

Kyle Kuzma (LAL) : $4,800 vs. LAC
Kuzma is another rising star for the Lakers young team and one of the players with the most fantasy upside this season. With Kentavious Caldwell-Pope suspended, there’s one more starting spot which could be Kuzma. At least, we know that Kuzma is expected to see plenty of minutes tonight. He’s another solid value play in DFS.

Carmelo Anthony (OKC): $8,000 vs. NYK
#Revengegame. Carmelo just recently was traded from the Knicks to the Thunder in exchange for Enes Kanter and Doug McDermott. It’s the perfect setting for Anthony to go-off against his former team, the Knicks. I expect him, George and Russell Westbrook to all post a dominant performance. Get Anthony in your lineup.

Centers

Jonas Valanciunas (TOR): $5,200 vs. CHI
Jonas rounds out my lineup for Thursday after I spent a lot of my cash on Westbrook-George-Anthony with good reason. This leaves me with JV, who can surely post a double-double. It’s a solid center who will start again this season but is losing center minutes to Serge Ibaka when teams go with a small ball lineup. His upside isn’t as high as year’s past but he’s still a solid play at his current price tag.
