In this article, we will take a look at players who may be highly owned or overpriced who you can feel comfortable fading. Let’s go ahead and take a look at some of options to ignore for Week 8.

Quarterback
Deshaun Watson (HOU): $8,000 at SEA
Watson has been nothing short of amazing this season. However, I am fading Watson this week since he is the fifth-highest priced quarterback and he will be visiting arguably the toughest venue in the league. The Seahawks no longer have a historically great defense, but they still have a very good one, allowing the fourth-fewest FanDuel points to opposing quarterbacks this season.
Running Back
Doug Martin (TB): $6,500 vs. CAR
Doug Martin struggled to get anything going against the Bills last week and I think we will see the same thing again this week. The Panthers have a pretty stout front seven and have allowed the fourth-fewest FanDuel points to opposing running backs so far this season.
Lamar Miller (HOU): $6,400 at SEA
Even though it is a pretty obvious fade, I have to mention Lamar Miller. Miller has only gained more than 100 yards one time this year and D’onta Foreman has eaten into his workload this season. Also, the matchup is not favorable at all as the Texans visit Seattle.
Wide Receiver
Antonio Brown (PIT): $9,200 at DET
It’s not often that I go out of my way to fade Antonio Brown, but I’m in favor of doing so this week. It would not be shocking if Brown had a good game this week since he is the best wide receiver in the NFL, but he is $500 more than any wide receiver and he will be drawing shadow coverage from Darius Slay, who has done an outstanding job shadowing some pretty good receivers this season.
Marvin Jones (DET): $6,100 vs. PIT
I sense that some people may gravitate towards Marvin Jones this week since Golden Tate is listed as doubtful, but I do not think that is a good idea. Jones might receive a couple more targets, but I don’t think it’s going to matter too much against this Pittsburgh secondary. According to Pro Football Focus, Mike Hilton and Artie Burns are both inside of the top 30 graded CBs this season.
Tight End
Rob Gronkowski (NE): $8,400 vs. LAC
Rob Gronkowski is definitely the best fantasy tight end in the league, but I always have a hard time using him when I can use the tight end on the opposite side of this matchup for nearly $3,000 less. Gronk did not do much last week against the Falcons, since he was mainly used for blocking. I could see a similar situation this week since the Patriots normally like to attack the opposing team’s’ weakness. In this case, the Chargers’ biggest weakness is in their their secondary, not wit their linebackers.
