Top NFL DFS Plays of Week 6 (2020)

Top NFL DFS Plays of Week 6 (2020)

We’re happy to announce that our Daily Fantasy Accuracy Cup is back for 2020! We’re back with over 90 experts competing for the title of Most Accuracy DFS Salary Cap Expert.

Each expert submits one optimal salary cap lineup each week. Experts are ranked based on the sum of the fantasy points scored by their lineups. These contests will be run through DraftKings. You can follow our DFAC Leaderboard here.

Beyond the competition, we’re asking our top scorers each week to provide their best plays of the slate. Here’s their advice for this week.

Salaries referenced are from DraftKings.

Which stud ($6,500 or higher) are you locking into your lineups?

Mike Davis (RB – CAR): $7,000
Here’s something I never thought I would say this year- Mike Davis tops my RB rankings for the main slate. He has done an excellent job filling in for the injured CMC and should continue to operate as their workhorse back in Week 6. Davis has averaged 7.3 receptions a game in his three starts. It’s his heavy usage in the passing game that gives him a high floor/ceiling on a full PPR site like DK. Once you realize just how many stud RBs aren’t playing on this slate (CMC, Zeke, Kamara, Cook, CEH, Chubb, Ekeler, Jacobs, Carson) it’s not so crazy to consider Davis as the top RB.

For me, the first player I’m locking into my lineups is Mike Davis ($7,000). His floor is among the best on the slate, and with Christian McCaffrey still on the shelf, he can continue to thrive in the role as the focal point of the offense for Carolina. He has been targeted 25 times over the last three weeks, along with an average of 15 carries per game. He is an easy lock and load play right now, despite a tough matchup against the Bears.

Adam Thielen (WR – MIN): $7,300
With the Vikings falling to 1-4, Kirk Cousins should be asked to do a lot more in the passing game this week. Enter Adam Thielen. Thielen ranks inside the Top 10 in targets (44), receptions (29), and touchdowns (6) this season. He also ranks 13th in the league in receiving yards (364). Thielen boasts a high floor along with high-upside potential going up against an Atlanta defense giving up 335.8 passing yards per game (second-worst). Fire him up!

James Robinson (RB – JAC): $6,800
James Robinson is almost a must-play this week going against one of the worst run defenses in football. Add in the fact that DJ Chark and Shenault might not play and it looks like a heavy workload for Robinson.
– Joe Bond (@f6p_joe)

Derrick Henry (RB – TEN): $7,300
Besides tossing Josh Norman aside like a paper bag, Henry was not explosive in the Titans first game back. Against a terrible Houston run defense expect that to change. Even as one of the most expensive options at the running back position Henry should easily bring back 3 to 1 value with 100 yards and multiple touchdowns this week.

Which value play ($5,000 or lower) are you rostering?

Irv Smith Jr. (TE – MIN): $2,500
The TE position is also incredibly thin this week. Stud TEs such as Kelce, Kittle, Henry, and Waller aren’t on the main slate. Irv Smith at $2,500 allows us to take a cheap flier at the position and spend up elsewhere. Smith struggled in Weeks 1-4, then broke out with a 4/64/0 performance in Week 5. His underlying data was encouraging as his routes run per dropback shot up to 74% after averaging 55% for the season. The Vikings may be actively trying to make him a reliable #3 target for Cousins going forward. The Falcons have been torched by opposing TEs this year, allowing the following stat lines: Greg Olsen (4/24/1), Dalton Schultz (9/88/1), Jimmy Graham (6/60/2), Robert Tonyan (6/98/3). Irv seems like a free square play at $2500.
– Sean Koerner (@the_oddsmaker)

D’Andre Swift (RB – DET): $4,500
One player I’m rounding out all my lineups with is D’Andre Swift. Swift has already established himself as the preferred pass-catching back on a Lions team that typically plays from behind. Before the bye week, Swift turned eight touches into 52 total yards and a score against the New Orleans Saints. With the O/U at 54.5, expect Swift to be heavily involved in the passing game. At $4,500, he’s a low-risk play that could pay dividends.
– Jacob Dunne (@AintDunneYet)

Travis Fulgham (WR – PHI): $4,400
Travis Fulgham at $4,400 seems like a no brainer here. I know the matchup isn’t great but I’ll take the salary savings on a player who saw 13 targets last week, which also wasn’t a good matchup. Alshon and DJax are out again this week, so fire up Fulgham.
– Joe Bond (@f6p_joe)

Austin Hooper (TE – ATL): $3,800
Hooper has not had a great first season with the Browns. With Nick Chubb missing the next month, they will need to rely more on the passing game. Against Pittsburgh, the 28th ranked defense against the pass in DVOA, this could be a week where he finally gets over 100 yards. All the pass catchers should be good here, so might as well go with the cheapest one.
– Dominick Petrillo (@EnvisionFF)

Tee Higgins (WR – CIN): $4,700
This week I’m all over Tee Higgins ($4,700) against the Colts. Joe Burrow has said himself that he and Tee have the best chemistry of anyone on the team, and he has been looking his way early and often. With an average of eight targets a game over the last few weeks, he should see plenty of looks in a game where the Bengals are eight point underdogs.
