Week 8 was one of the best weeks of the year! We had Michael Pittman as the highlight player, with pretty much every other player performing well above expectations. The only weakness was the tight ends, but who the hell can predict those guys? Almost no tight end played well, and it’s become a dumpster fire of position with Travis Kelce and Darren Waller struggling up top. There’s a lot more to discuss this week, though, so let’s go ahead and get into it!

The players below are ones I’m looking at for cash game considerations for Week 9:
Quarterbacks
DraftKings
Josh Allen (BUF): $8,200, at JAX
Allen has established himself as the best asset in fantasy, leading all players with 28.4 DraftKings points per game. That makes him a cash game option on every slate, but this happens to be one of the best matchups possible. The Jaguars rank 26th in yards allowed, 28th in points surrendered and 29th in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks.
Lamar Jackson (BAL): $7,300, vs. MIN
This was one of the strangest prices I saw among all the quarterbacks. L-Jax has been playing at an $8K level for most of the season, averaging over 26 fantasy points per game. His rushing gives him an incredible floor as well, making him an enticing pick coming out of the BYE. Not to mention, Minnesota owns a 26th OPRK against opposing quarterbacks and just allowed a backup to blow them up on Monday night.
FanDuel
Aaron Rodgers (GB): $8,100, at KC
Rodgers is the fifth-highest-priced quarterback, and that alone makes him a good value. This dude has scored at least 18.5 FanDuel points in five of his last six games, doing that damage despite never throwing over 40 passes. We believe he could finally reach that 40-attempt mark here, with this total sitting at a massive 56 points. Of course, a big reason for that is Kansas City’s defense, with the Chiefs owning a 30th OPRK against opposing quarterbacks, according to FD.
Joe Burrow (CIN): $7,600, vs. CLE
Burrow appears to be a full-on breakout. The former first overall pick has at least 20 FanDuel points in five straight games, averaging 23 FD points per game in that span. That makes it hard to believe that he’s only $7,600, especially with the Browns surrendering the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season.
In Consideration: Kyler Murray (ARI): $7,900/$8,200, at SF
Running Backs
DraftKings
Alvin Kamara (NO): $8,200, vs. ATL
Kamara has scored at least 15 DraftKings points in all but one game this season, making him the highest-priced player on the board. That makes him an easy cash game option, averaging 27.4 DK points across his last three outings. That looks like a likely outcome here, with Atlanta owning a 28th OPRK against opposing backs this season.
Josh Jacobs (LV): $6,200, at NYG
While JJ enters this matchup with a questionable tag, he should suit up with a chest contusion. If that’s the case, Jacobs is one of the best options out there at $6,200. The underrated running back has at least 11 DK points in every game this season, reaching 15-plus fantasy points in all but one of those. We adore that with the Giants surrendering the third-most fantasy points to opposing running backs.
FanDuel
Aaron Jones (GB): $8,500, at KC
Jones has been inconsistent this season, but 15 carries and 11 targets in Week 8 is an encouraging sign in the future. That led to a 21-point gem, and he should be leaned on heavily here, with Kansas City ranked 25th in points allowed and 29th in yardage surrendered. The 56-point total makes him intriguing as well, likely allowing him to pick up a handful of goal-line carries as well.
Nick Chubb (CLE): $7,600, at CIN
Out of all the prices in this article, this one is my favorite. Now that Kareem Hunt is on IR, Chubb should get all the work he can handle. That’s great news since he has at least 15 carries in five of six games this season, averaging 15 FanDuel points per game. The best part is this matchup, though, with Cincy surrendering the most fantasy points in the NFL to opposing backs.
In Consideration: Darrel Williams (KC): $5,700/$6,700, vs. GB
Wide Receivers
DraftKings
Davante Adams (GB): $8,200, at KC
Adams is the best wide receiver in football, and he’s an easy option if he gets through COVID protocols. We anticipate he will after sitting out last week, making him an elite option in this matchup. Not only is he the NFL leader in targets and target share, but he also gets to face a KC club that can’s stop anyone on the defensive side of the ball.
Amari Cooper (DAL): $5,700, vs. DEN
Cooper was struggling through the middle weeks of the season, but eight catches for 122 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 is a good indicator of how special he can be. That treasure got his season average above 17 DK points, which is genuinely absurd from a sub-$6K player. It’s not like Denver is scary either, owning a 17th OPRK against opposing wideouts.
FanDuel
Stefon Diggs (BUF): $7,600, at JAX
Diggs is finally starting to roll. The top-scoring receiver from last season has at least 13 DK points in three of his previous four games. That’s the guy we know and love, making him an easy pairing with Josh Allen against one of the worst defenses in the NFL.
Keenan Allen (LAC): $7,000, at PHI
Allen has seen a price drop, but it’s hard to understand why. This year, the stud wide receiver has at least four catches in every game, ranked Top-10 in receptions, targets, and target share. As long as that continues, he should be north of $7,000. The matchup with Philly is fantastic, too, with the Eagles ranked 19th in total defense.
In Consideration: Jerry Jeudy (DEN): $5,000/$5,800, at DAL
Tight Ends
DraftKings
Mark Andrews (BAL): $5,500, vs. MIN
Andrews has been the best tight end in football since Week 1. He’s got at least 11 DK points in five of six games since then, averaging 18 fantasy points per game in that stretch. That laps the rest of the field, and, shockingly, he’s priced fourth at the position with those numbers in his back pocket.
FanDuel
Travis Kelce (KC): $7,800, vs. GB
We usually see Kelce way above everyone else in terms of salary, but a recent slump has brought him much closer to the pack. That alone makes Kelce a tasty cash game selection, leading all tight ends in fantasy points throughout the last five years. It’s just a matter of time before he gets rolling again, still averaging 13 FD points per game despite the recent struggles.
In Consideration: Darren Waller (LV): $6,200/$6,800, at PHI
Defense/Special Teams
DraftKings
Buffalo Bills D/ST: $4,000, at JAX
Buffalo should be the top D/ST option on both sites. Unfortunately, that’s not the case here for DK, with Buffalo being in the perfect spot. We say that because they lead all D/ST’s with nearly 12 DK points per game and happen to face one of the worst offenses in football. Conversely, Jacksonville has allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing D/STs and sit near the bottom of every significant offensive statistic.
FanDuel
Dallas Cowboys D/ST: $3,900, vs. DEN
Dallas has quietly been a great defense all year. They rank fourth at the position with 8.7 FD points per game, scoring at least seven FanDuel points in all but one game. Unfortunately, that’s all you can hope for from one of your D/STs, and it seems likely with Denver sitting 23rd in fantasy points allowed to opposing defenses.
In Consideration: New Orleans Saints D/ST: $3,700/$4,700, vs. ATL
