News & Notes

Robert Suarez continues to hold the MLB lead with 10 saves.

Kyle Finnegan and Andres Munoz both fall closely behind with nine saves each.

Emmanuel Clase, Ryan Pressly Edwin Diaz and Justin Martinez are all currently day-to-day due to different injuries. They have not been placed on the injured list (IL) yet, but that could change in the coming days if their injuries don’t show improvement.

The early-season struggles have continued for Devin Williams. After allowing four runs (three earned) on April 19th, he made his first appearance in almost a week on Friday, where he blew the save and took a loss against the Blue Jays.

Williams had posted four straight scoreless appearances, but has now allowed seven runs (six earned) in his past two appearances that were one week apart. Luke Weaver and Fernando Cruz are two relievers to monitor in the Yankees’ bullpen behind Williams.
