Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft: Superflex, Four Rounds (Fantasy Football)

The 2025 offseason is upon us. While redraft fantasy football is months away, dynasty never stops. And the new dynasty season tends to start with dynasty rookie drafts. We’ll have you covered with our dynasty rookie draft rankings and advice to help you dominate your leagues.

There’s no better way to prepare than by running through rookie mocks using the FantasyPros rookie draft simulator.

Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft

Derek Brown and I went head-to-head for a four-round Superflex rookie mock draft, selecting against the draft simulator to see how the board falls and how to strategically react in real time.

Along the way, we broke down each pick with quick-hitting blurbs on player value, team context and draft strategy, so you can walk into your league’s rookie draft with confidence — and a few sharp pivots in your back pocket. Before we dive in, you can see the full draft board below.

Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft Picks

1.03 – Omarion Hampton (RB – LAC)

I’ve got the 1.03 in my lone remaining real-life Superflex dynasty rookie draft, so I am taking full advantage of the rookie mock draft simulator in all facets to prepare. It’s going to come down to Omarion Hampton versus Tetairoa McMillan.

My team is terrible at running back — Tyrone Tracy and Isiah Pacheco slotted into the top two spots — so not leaving this draft without a top back isn’t an option. In a vacuum, I do slightly prefer McMillan, but Hampton is such a safe bet to be a fantasy producer, even if he isn’t Ashton Jeanty.

Here is a list of running backs drafted on Day 2 or earlier that averaged at least 30 receiving yards/game in their final college seasons:

Saquon Barkley, David Johnson, Joe Mixon, Antonio Gibson, Najee Harris, Travis Etienne Jr., Rachaad White, Zach Charbonnet, Jahmyr Gibbs and Omarion Hampton.

1.07 – Jaxson Dart (QB – NYG)

Sitting at 1.07 in a Superflex rookie draft, Jaxson Dart is firmly in play, so I had to get my guy. In the end, only Dart and Cam Ward walk away with first-round draft capital, and they stand alone in their own tier in this rookie draft class.

I know Ward was selected as the first overall pick, and Dart didn’t arrive in New York until the 25th selection, but Dart is now my QB1 for this class. I have had him above Ward during the entire NFL Draft cycle. I love his combination of arm talent and rushing upside. He’s currently the 1.07 in our Superflex rookie expert consensus rankings (ECR).

Dart should be a locked-in first-round rookie draft pick. The conversation with Dart begins at the 1.05 pick. In 1-QB leagues, the Dart conversation begins in the early second round of rookie drafts. I expect to see him start games sometime during the 2025 season. Russell Wilson‘s play and Dart’s progression in training camp and the preseason will determine how early that is.

2.03 – Kaleb Johnson (RB – PIT)

If I knew I could get Kaleb Johnson or another top running back at 2.03, I’d strongly consider going wide receiver first at the 1.03. However, most real-life drafts will likely see Jalen Milroe and Cam Skattebo go ahead of Kaleb Johnson.

Although it very much opens my mind to trading up back into round one or the end of round two for any of the top-six backs who potentially fall. I just love the landing spot so much for Johnson. He’s a great fit in Arthur Smith’s outside zone scheme.

Dare I say the next Derrick Henry!?

2.07 – RJ Harvey (RB – DEN)

RJ Harvey in the second round of a rookie draft is a gift you shouldn’t pass up. I couldn’t be happier for Harvey and the Broncos. This is a wonderful pairing of situation and talent. Harvey and his second-round draft capital land in a backfield where his only direct competition is Audric Estime and Jaleel McLaughlin.

Before the NFL Draft, Harvey was my RB5. After the conclusion of the draft, he has risen to RB3. I’m sky-high about his prospects and will be heavily overweight in the rookie draft season. It’s hard not to love a player who ranked inside the top 20 among FBS running backs in each of the last two seasons in breakaway percentage and elusive rating, per Pro Football Focus (PFF).

Add in Sean Payton’s running back usage, and Harvey looks primed to smash. Over the last two years, Payton has ranked fifth and first in running back target share. He’s currently my 1.07 in Superflex rookie fantasy football rankings.

3.03 – Kyle Williams (WR – NE)

I’ve got zero Kyle Williams shares through my real-life rookie drafts. Sad but true. Regardless, I love the value on him at the back-end of round two/front-end of round three in Superflex drafts. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound receiver is also coming off a monster 2024 season featuring 14 touchdowns, 70 receptions and over 1,200 receiving yards.

Williams is explosive down the field, finishing third in the class in deep catches. I like the fit a lot with Drake Maye, not just in 2025 but for the long term. The former Washington State wideout has an opportunity to seize targets in an offense that’s been desperately looking for someone to step up. Keep in mind that Stefon Diggs is essentially on a one-year deal, so the Patriots can get out of it if things don’t work out with the 31-year-old receiver coming off a torn ACL.

My only internal debate was with Bhayshul Tuten, who was still on the board. Another one of “my guys” that I just have not landed for no specific reason in my real-life rookie drafts.

3.07 – Elijah Arroyo (TE – SEA)

Elijah Arroyo is headed to Seattle after the team called his name in the second round of the NFL Draft. The former Miami Hurricane is an athletic mismatch weapon who will push Noah Fant for snaps from the jump if his blocking is up to snuff.

Fant is an unrestricted free agent after this season, so while the outlook for 2025 has its worries, it should be wheels up for Arroyo in 2026. If Cooper Kupp proves in 2025 that he doesn’t have much left in the tank, he could also be gone, which would leave Arroyo as the second target in the passing attack behind only Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

In his final season in college, Arroyo ranked 23rd in yards per route run (YPRR) and second in yards after the catch (YAC) per reception among tight ends (minimum 20 targets), per PFF. Arroyo is a late second-round selection in dynasty rookie drafts that will occasionally fall into the third round.

4.03 – Jaydon Blue (RB – DAL)

I talked about Jaydon Blue’s potential on a recent FantasyPros video:

Once we hit round three of rookie drafts, I think Blue is more than fair game to target. The former Longhorn has sub-4.4 wheels while leading the class in yards after contact per rushing attempt (4.0). He is on a very weak depth chart and offers so much juice as a pass-catcher that I think he will see his value climb in Year 1.

If Blue were gone, Jarquez Hunter would have been my next pick. Pro tip for those picking a late-round rookie: Fade wide receivers and draft running backs. You don’t need more wideouts clogging your dynasty rosters.

4.07 – Tahj Brooks (RB – CIN)

Tahj Brooks lands in Cincy via the sixth round of the NFL Draft. With the depth of his running back class, it isn’t surprising to see him having slipped that far down the board, but it still sucks. Brooks has the talent that should have justified an earlier pick and would have had he come out last year.

Brooks will need to hop Zack Moss (assuming health) and Samaje Perine on the depth chart to even be proclaimed as the direct handcuff to Chase Brown. I think he has the talent to do so, but it remains to be seen if he can achieve it.

Texas Tech’s run blocking was abysmal last year, and it hurt Brooks’ tackle-breaking numbers. In 2023, he ranked 60th in yards after contact per attempt and 37th in elusive rating, per PFF. Brooks is a nice fourth-round pick and taxi squad candidate for dynasty squads.
