Keep checking those weather reports for possible cancellations. It seems like every day we are getting postponements. Today’s DraftKings DFS slate begins at 2:05 p.m. ET and includes eight games. FanDuel has a nearly identical slate. The only difference is that it excludes the Orioles-Red Sox game.

- Bryan Woo has only had three starts this season where he didn’t deliver in DFS. He has scored over 22 fantasy points in six of his nine starts this season. He’s been better recently with 23.9+ points in four of his last five. The Astros are a familiar foe for Woo. He has faced them twice with a career 2.31 ERA against them.
- Max Fried’s value is the lowest we’ve seen it all season on DraftKings because today’s game is at Coors Field. The Rockies have not performed at a level that makes me worried that Fried won’t have success. The Rockies have the highest strikeout rate against left-handed pitchers (28.2%). Their wRC+ is a park-adjusted statistic, but they are still the worst team in baseball against left-handed pitchers with an abysmal mark of 57.
- Jack Leiter’s last two starts have arguably been his best two starts. One start was against the Rockies, who also sport the league’s worst wRC+ mark against right-handed pitchers. The league’s second-worst offense by wRC+ against right-handed pitching is today’s opponent, the Chicago White Sox.

- You are going to have to pay up for the league’s best team in OPS and the league leader in home runs going to the most favorable hitting environment in the game, but it will likely be worth it. The Yankees travel to Coors Field, where they are opposed by left-hander Kyle Freeland.
- The Yankees not only lead in total OPS, but they also lead in OPS against left-handed pitchers (.860). That will likely go up against Freeland. He has been a bit unlucky with his 5.68 ERA, but his expected ERA is still 4.45. It’s hard to maintain a lower ERA when you are giving up over 12 hits per nine innings.
- Cody Bellinger is a great starting point to building your lineup. His 15-game hitting streak recently came to an end, but he has had an impressive May with five home runs and a .333 batting average. He also has a history against Freeland that includes five doubles and a home run.
- Paul Goldschmidt and Trent Grisham also have extensive histories against Freeland. Goldschmidt is only 7-for-31 against Freeland in his career, but has three extra-base hits, including two home runs. Grisham is 6-for-26 against Freeland in his career with three home runs.

- The Cincinnati Reds are set up for a home matchup today against Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Colin Rea. Surprisingly, the Reds have struggled at home this season with only an 84 wRC+. A matchup with Rea could be the remedy.
- On paper, Rea is off to a good start in his Cubs career with a 2.38 ERA. His expected ERA is over 4.00. He has only given up four home runs despite a measly 37% ground ball rate. Giving up fly balls at Great American Ball Park, the best park for home run production, is a good way to give up a lot of runs in a hurry.
- We have to start with Will Benson. While his five home runs in the past week are certainly unsustainable, he also has a 53% hard-hit rate at home this season.
- Elly De La Cruz’s value won’t be able to reach its pinnacle if he is going to keep hitting ground balls at a 56% rate. Of course, he can deliver multiple home runs at any time.
- Austin Hays and Gavin Lux are other options I’m looking to stack. Lux is unplayable against left-handed pitchers, but has an .878 OPS against right-handed pitchers this season. Hays is simply still undervalued for what he has done when healthy this season. He has started 23 games this season and has a hit in 18 of them.

Core Studs
- Rafael Devers has the third-highest hard-hit rate in baseball (43.7%). It has helped him to hit five home runs and to bat just under .400 in May. Today, he is opposed by Zach Eflin whom he is 7-for-19 against in his career with six extra-base hits.
- William Contreras has been shockingly bad against left-handed pitchers this season, but still has an .853 OPS against right-handed pitching. Today’s matchup is against right-hander Mitch Keller, whom Contreras has two career home runs against.
- Dansby Swanson has quietly been putting together a marvelous season. He has six home runs and over a 1.000 OPS in May. Left-handed pitcher Andrew Abbott is his opponent today. Swanson has an .896 OPS against left-handed pitchers this season. He also has three extra-base hits against Abbott in his career in only five at-bats.
Value Plays/Punts
- Bryan Reynolds loves to see Milwaukee pitchers. He has a .316 batting average with 14 home runs in his career against Milwaukee pitchers. He is also vastly underperforming his expected statistics.
- Matt Shaw seems more comfortable after his temporary demotion to the Minors. Since returning, he is 5-for-16 with three doubles.
- Jake Burger was temporarily demoted, which caused his price to drop. Burger has five extra-base hits in the past 10 games, including three home runs.

Saturday’s Top 3 Underdog Player Props
Brent Rooker has crushed left-handed pitching this season, ranking fourth in OPS. Today is a matchup with a tough left-handed pitcher in Cristopher Sanchez. Rooker has also been great at home this season with a wRC+ of 143. Combine them, and he should be able to exceed this number.
The Dodgers have been tough on left-handed pitchers with their .814 OPS. One of the toughest batters has been Teoscar Hernandez. Five of his home runs have come against left-handed pitching in only 32 plate appearances.
Hernandez has nearly a 43% hard-hit rate against left-handed pitching. I expect the Dodgers to have plenty of base runners and Hernandez to deliver well over 7.5 fantasy points.
Since coming off the injured list (IL) earlier this month, Ivan Herrera has cleared 1.5 total bases in eight out of 12 games. Of course, two of his misses have been in the last two games. Today’s matchup is against Merrill Kelly. Kelly has pitched well this season, but is still giving up hard-hit balls 45% of the time. I expect Herrera to get back on track today.
