Fantasy Football Injuries to Know for Week 6
Jauan Jennings (WR – SF)
Jauan Jennings (ankle/ribs) is questionable for Sunday.
Jauan Jennings has a chance to return from his injury to play in Week 6 against the Buccaneers. This would put him in line for a boatload of targets with Ricky Pearsall already ruled out. However, not only is Brock Purdy out for this one, but Mac Jones is questionable as well. While he’s expected to play, you have to wonder how the injury will impact his effectiveness.
Devon Witherspoon (CB – SEA)
Devon Witherspoon (knee) is doubtful for Sunday.
Top cornerback Devon Witherspoon is likely out for the Seahawks once again. Fellow cornerback Riq Woolen is also expected to miss this game. That’s bad news for an injury-ravaged secondary that just got picked apart by Baker Mayfield. We could see a big game from Trevor Lawrence and company.
Zay Flowers (WR – BAL)
Zay Flowers (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday.
Zay Flowers has been limited all week with a shoulder issue. Though it feels likely that he’ll play, it’s hard to trust him with Cooper Rush under center. The good news for Flowers’ fantasy value is that with the Ravens’ defense struggling, that could mean that Rush airs it out, peppering his No. 1 WR with targets. But I’m not holding my breath here. This is a low-floor option.
Darnell Mooney (WR – ATL)
Darnell Mooney (hamstring) didn’t practice on Friday.
The fact that Darnell Mooney missed practice on Friday makes it highly likely that he’ll miss Sunday’s game against the Bills. Expect Drake London to get peppered with targets in a game that could turn into a shootout. As for Mooney, it’s starting to feel like it could be a lost year for him.
Brock Bowers (TE – LV)
Brock Bowers (knee) ruled out for Week 6.
It would have been nice if the Raiders had just let Brock Bowers recover from his injury right when it happened, rather than have him play at less than 100% and then aggravate the issue. Hopefully, Bowers can take a couple of weeks off to get back to full form, just in time for the second half of the season.
CeeDee Lamb (WR – DAL)
CeeDee Lamb (ankle) ruled out for Week 6.
Unlike the Raiders with Bowers, the Cowboys are doing it right with CeeDee Lamb, holding him out of the lineup due to a high-ankle sprain, waiting until he’s fully ready to return. Expect George Pickens and Jake Ferguson to continue to dominate targets in Lamb’s absence.
Kyler Murray (QB – ARI)
Kyler Murray (foot) is questionable to play this week.
Kyler Murray is at risk of missing this week against the Colts. If Murray is forced to sit, don’t be surprised to see Marvin Harrison Jr. have a big game with savvy veteran Jacoby Brissett. There’s a legitimate chance that Harrison has been held back by Murray this whole time.
Terry McLaurin (WR – WSH)
Terry McLaurin (quad) is likely out for another week.
Terry McLaurin looks likely to miss another game for the Commanders. The team is smartly holding him out until he’s fully ready to return. Expect Deebo Samuel to continue his resurgence in McLaurin’s absence. The former 49er has proven to be a huge pickup for the Commanders.
