Everyone loves an Ask Me Anything (AMA), especially the fantasy football community. You can put me at the top of the list of those who love fantasy football AMA. Answering questions for a specific individual fantasy player is so much fun. Not only am I helping that fantasy player improve their team, but it also challenges me to think outside the general box of who is higher in my rankings or who to start this year.
FantasyPros does an excellent job with their Discord AMAs, giving members a chance to have their questions answered by professionals. Please join my Discord channel and reach out to me anytime with any fantasy football questions.

Fantasy Football Discord AMA & Mailbag
So, without further ado, let’s dive into some of the questions and answers from my Week 9 Discord AMA.
Waiver Wire Questions
How much FAAB should I spend on Tyrone Tracy Jr.?
I would spend up to 40% of my remaining FAAB on Tracy if I needed help at the running back position. Unfortunately, Cam Skattebo is out for the year with a dislocated ankle. While Tracy has struggled this season, he did have 53 scrimmage yards on 12 touches for 7.3 PPR fantasy points last week against the Philadelphia Eagles. Devin Singletary will get some work, while Jaxson Dart could be the team’s goal-line runner. Yet, Tracy is a solid pickup worth spending your FAAB on.
Should I drop Kyle Monangai for Isaiah Davis?
After Monangai had 17.4 PPR fantasy points in Week 7, Monangai regressed on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, totaling 2.4 fantasy points. More importantly, Davis has significantly more upside over the next week. The New York Jets could trade Breece Hall before next week’s trade deadline, making Davis the team’s starter for the rest of the season. Last week, he had 12 touches for 109 scrimmage yards and 17.9 fantasy points despite Hall having a three-touchdown performance.
Would you pick up Tank Bigsby or Dylan Sampson?
Honestly, I wouldn’t pick up either running back unless you want to handcuff Saquon Barkley or Quinshon Judkins. Both star running backs suffered an injury in Week 8. However, both players only suffered minor injuries and have a bye in Week 9, giving them two weeks before their next game. Barkley and Judkins should be ready to play in Week 10, making Bigsby and Sampson unappealing waiver wire targets. I would rather add Isaiah Davis or Tyjae Spears.
Streaming Questions
What D/ST is your favorite streaming option this week?
There are three excellent streaming defenses for Week 9. The Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, and Detroit Lions. All three are rostered in under 60% of ESPN leagues. The Rams face the New Orleans Saints, who are in the middle of a quarterback decision. The Chargers face the Tennessee Titans, who have been a fantasy goldmine for opposing defenses. The Lions face the Minnesota Vikings in J.J. McCarthy’s first game back from a high-ankle sprain.
Who is an under-the-radar tight end streaming option for Week 9?
Colston Loveland is my favorite under-the-radar streaming option this week. The rookie had three receptions on five targets for 38 receiving yards and 6.8 PPR fantasy points last week, setting career highs in every category with Cole Kmet out of the lineup because of a back injury. Loveland faces the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9. They’ve surrendered 6.8 receptions for 87.5 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and 27.5 fantasy points per game to tight ends over the past month.
Outlook Questions
Is Quentin Johnston a lost cause?
Unfortunately, Johnston’s production has fallen off a cliff after an outstanding start. He has totaled six receptions on 10 targets for 70 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 17.9 PPR fantasy points over the past month, missing a game with a hamstring injury. Last week, the former TCU star didn’t earn a target against the Minnesota Vikings despite playing 52% of the snaps. I’m not dropping Johnston, but the veteran belongs on the bench until he proves that fantasy players can trust him again.
Would you rather have Michael Pittman Jr. or Tee Higgins for the rest of the season?
Both players are solid WR2 options for the rest of the season. Furthermore, both wide receivers have significant target competition. However, I would rather have Pittman over Higgins. The former USC star has had nine targets, a touchdown, and over 20 PPR fantasy points in back-to-back games. Meanwhile, Higgins saw only two targets on Sunday while Ja’Marr Chase had 19. I’m a little worried that Joe Flacco might lock onto Chase too much for Higgins to have consistent fantasy production.
Are you panicking about Baker Mayfield and Emeka Egbuka?
Absolutely not! Yes, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offense has been off the past two weeks. However, they’ve dealt with multiple injuries, including Egbuka, who is playing through a hamstring injury. Thankfully, the Buccaneers have their bye at the perfect time in Week 9. That will give the offense two weeks to heal. Don’t be surprised if Tampa Bay’s offense is firing on all cylinders following their bye, especially with Chris Godwin and Bucky Irving potentially returning to the lineup.
What are your expectations for D’Andre Swift in Week 9?
Swift has been outstanding lately, averaging 14.7 rushing attempts for 92.3 yards, 0.7 touchdowns, and 20.5 PPR fantasy points per game over the past three weeks, totaling 20.8 or more twice. More importantly, the veteran running faces the Cincinnati Bengals, who have surrendered over 31 fantasy points to running backs in all but two games this season. Last week, they gave up 265 scrimmage yards, three total touchdowns, and 52.7 fantasy points to the New York Jets backfield.
