Doing your weekly waivers in fantasy football can be more stressful than performing life-saving surgery on a loved one without any professional tools or medical knowledge. While that might be a slight exaggeration, deciding which players to add off the waiver wire each week can be stressful.
Finding and adding the right guys in shallow leagues is simple, as there are plenty of appealing options, and the waiver wire is full of talent. Unfortunately, making your waiver wire claims in deeper leagues can be a massive pain in the neck.
However, I’m here to help by giving fantasy players 11 waiver wire targets they should add in deeper leagues in Week 10.

Deep League Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets
All the players in this article are rostered in under 25% of ESPN leagues.
Michael Penix Jr. (QB – ATL): 12.1% Rostered
Penix hasn’t been consistent for fantasy players, scoring fewer than 12.3 fantasy points in nearly half the games. However, the former Washington star has played well, especially in favorable matchups, totaling 18.7 or more fantasy points in three games, including 22.7 on Sunday against the New England Patriots. The second-year pro had a season-high three passing touchdowns against the Patriots despite getting little help from anyone but Drake London, who had all three scores. Penix is worth adding in deeper leagues, especially with several fantasy-friendly matchups on the horizon.
Marcus Mariota (QB – WAS): 5.2% Rostered
Sadly, Jayden Daniels suffered an all-but-guaranteed season-ending elbow injury Sunday night, putting Mariota in line to start for the rest of the year. The veteran has been a serviceable starting option for fantasy players in standard-size leagues. He has completed 66.7% of his pass attempts for 192 yards, 1.3 touchdowns, and 16 fantasy points per game in his three starts, totaling 16.2 or more twice. Furthermore, Mariota has been a factor in the run game, averaging 4.9 fantasy points per contest on the ground in his three starts.
Tyrod Taylor (QB – NYJ): 1.1% Rostered
Head coach Aaron Glenn refused to name the Jets’ Week 10 starter heading into their bye despite Justin Fields playing well in the Week 8 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Therefore, Taylor is worth adding in deeper and superflex leagues. He has only started one game this season, completing 72.2% of his pass attempts for 197 yards, two touchdowns, eight rushing attempts for 48 yards, and 16.7 fantasy points in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Taylor provides a safe floor for fantasy players because of his rushing abilities.
Isaiah Davis (RB – NYJ): 9.2% Rostered
Hopefully, the Jets trade Breece Hall to the Kansas City Chiefs before tomorrow’s trade deadline, making Davis the new starter in New York. However, he is still worth adding in deeper leagues, even if Hall remains with the Jets. Davis was outstanding in the team’s last game before the bye, totaling seven rushing attempts for 65 yards and five receptions for 44 receiving yards, totaling 17.9 PPR fantasy points. Furthermore, he averaged 1.5 fantasy points per touch compared to 1.6 for Hall despite the star running back having three touchdowns.
Devin Singletary (RB – NYG): 4.5% Rostered
Unfortunately, the Giants lost Cam Skattebo to a season-ending ankle injury in Week 8, leaving Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Singletary in the backfield. While many expected Tracy to be the featured guy, Singletary was the better option on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. The veteran had more touches (10 vs. 8), a higher yards per rushing attempt average (5.4 vs. 3.6), and more PPR fantasy points (7.1 vs. 6.7) than the second-year pro in Week 9. Singletary could be a viable bye-week replacement for fantasy players in deeper leagues.
Cedric Tillman (WR – CLE): 14.6% Rostered
Last week, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media he expects Tillman to come off injured reserve before Sunday’s matchup against the New York Jets after missing the past four games with a hamstring injury. Fantasy players haven’t seen him play with Dillon Gabriel starting. However, he started the year playing well, averaging 3.5 receptions on 7.5 targets for 37 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 13.2 PPR fantasy points per game over the first two weeks. Tillman is worth stashing to see how he plays with the rookie quarterback.
Alec Pierce (WR – IND): 11.8% Rostered
While Daniel Jones struggled on Sunday, Pierce was productive. The veteran had six receptions on 13 targets for 115 receiving yards and 17.5 PPR fantasy points, setting season-highs in every category. Furthermore, his 27.1% target share led the team, finishing 8.3% higher than Josh Downs. More importantly, Pierce has quietly been a solid flex option for fantasy players in standard-size leagues, averaging 3.8 receptions on seven targets for 77.5 receiving yards and 11.6 fantasy points per game since Week 1, totaling 10.7 or more in all but two contests.
Calvin Austin III (WR – PIT): 10.9% Rostered
The Steelers’ passing attack has been far from elite this year. However, Austin has quietly played well this season, averaging 8.9 PPR fantasy points per game. Furthermore, the former Memphis star has been a viable flex option when seeing enough target volume, averaging 11.7 fantasy points per game in the four contests with at least five targets, scoring 10.6 or more in all but one outing. More importantly, Austin faces several fantasy-friendly defenses over the next several weeks, including matchups against the Cincinnati Bengals, Chicago Bears, and Miami Dolphins.
Parker Washington (WR – JAC): 5.1% Rostered
Jacksonville’s wide receiver has been obliterated with injuries. Travis Hunte went on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in practice. Meanwhile, Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle) and Dyami Brown (concussion) left Sunday’s win over the Las Vegas Raiders with injuries, leaving Washington as Trevor Lawrence’s top weapon. The third-year pro played well, totaling eight receptions on nine targets for 90 receiving yards and 17 PPR fantasy points, a season-high. Washington will continue to see a meaningful target volume as the starting slot receiver until Hunter returns to the lineup.
Colston Loveland (TE – CHI): 23.6% Rostered
Hopefully, anyone who needed a streaming tight end last week grabbed Loveland off the waiver wire. He was outstanding, totaling six receptions on seven targets for 118 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and 29.8 PPR fantasy points. While part of his fantasy success was because of the matchup against an awful Cincinnati Bengals defense, the rookie has started to earn more of a role on offense, seeing at least four targets in three consecutive games. Loveland is a solid deep league replacement for fantasy players who lost Tucker Kraft on Sunday.
Greg Dulcich (TE – MIA): 0.1% Rostered
Fantasy players should be in 16-plus team leagues to consider adding Dulcich off the waiver wire. His career has been handicapped because of injuries. However, the former UCLA star has had some solid moments in the NFL. Last week, Dulcich was Miami’s only impactful pass catcher besides Jaylen Waddle and De’Von Achane, catching all five targets for 49 receiving yards and 9.9 PPR fantasy points against the Baltimore Ravens. He is worth stashing for the Week 11 matchup against the Washington Commanders as a bye-week replacement for Tyler Warren.
