It seems to be something of an annual tradition to say this, but the talent in the NBA is the best that it’s ever been. Even looking beyond the Luka Doncic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander superstar-level players, the bench players and fourth and fifth option players are just so skilled and productive.
In recent days, Jalen Johnson put up a 31-point, 18-rebound, 14-assist triple-double, Grayson Allen canned 10 threes on his way to a 42-point night and this new crop of rookies, headlined by Kon Knueppel and Derik Queen, have quickly made their mark.
With such high levels of all-around talent, there are certainly plenty of fantasy points to be had. We’re here to help you get them with our fantasy basketball trade advice — even if it means fleecing a leaguemate.

Fantasy Basketball Trade Advice (Week 4)
Trade For
Julius Randle (C, PF – MIN)
To this point in the young season, Julius Randle is — without question — playing like an All-NBA forward. Perhaps surprisingly, Randle is already a two-time All-NBA selection.
Randle is averaging more points than Kevin Durant, more rebounds than Lauri Markkanen and more assists than Jamal Murray on his way to over 45 fantasy points per game.
There are undoubtedly bigger names putting up worse numbers and, in turn, fewer fantasy points. At least check on Randle’s availability in your league.
Players to Trade Him For Who Are Ranked Higher: Lauri Markkanen (SF, PF – UTH), Ja Morant (PG – MEM)
Trade Away
CJ McCollum (PF, SG – WSH)
The Wizards are bad. And to be an aging veteran like CJ McCollum on an otherwise young team is not exactly a recipe for fantasy points. Washington, which currently sits at 1-11, has little to no incentive to play McCollum big minutes over the likes of Bub Carrington, Tre Johnson and Cam Whitmore.
If you happen to roster McCollum in fantasy, find some amount of solace in the fact that the guard is averaging 25.5 points, six rebounds and three assists over his last four games. Try your best to sell high on McCollum.
Players to Trade Him For Who Are Ranked Lower: Keyonte George (PG, SG – UTH), Jrue Holiday (PG, SG – POR)
Trade For
Ryan Rollins (PG, SG – MIL)
Ryan Rollins has been a revelation for a Milwaukee team that sorely needed ball-handling after the departure of Damian Lillard. Rollins has started all of Milwaukee’s games but one, and he’s shown out when Giannis Antetokounmpo has missed time. The Toledo product is averaging 28.5 points and seven assists without the Greek Freak in the lineup this season.
It is downright criminal that Rollins is rostered in just 49% of Yahoo! leagues. The Most Improved Player candidate is averaging more fantasy points than Cooper Flagg, Zach LaVine and Ivica Zubac.
Take advantage of the fact that Rollins is flying under the radar.
Players to Trade Him For Who Are Ranked Higher: Keldon Johnson (PF, SF – SAS), Russell Westbrook (PG – SAC)
Trade Away
John Collins (PF, C – LAC)
John Collins is really struggling to find his groove so far in Los Angeles. While he hasn’t been a poor shooter per se, his volume and production have both seen a decline from last season when he was in Utah.
Collins is posting his lowest attempts, points, rebounds and assists per game since his rookie year. The forward is also playing just under 25 minutes a night.
It’s hard to think that any meaningful, positive changes are on the horizon for Collins’ fantasy stock considering where he is in his career.
Players to Trade Him For Who Are Ranked Lower: Kel’el Ware (PF, C – MIA), Matas Buzelis (SF, PF – CHI), Jerami Grant (SF, PF – POR)
