Just like last season, we’ll be going through similar slates on FanDuel and DraftKings. Then, at the end of the article will be some interesting prop bets for you to use on Underdog.

Today’s slate will be the evening slate. On DraftKings, that begins at 5:10 p.m ET, which includes seven games. FanDuel has the same set of games for what they are calling the main slate. Good luck this season.

Saturday’s Top MLB DFS Picks & Player Props

Saturday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings (3/28)

MLB DFS Picks & Underdog Player Props: Saturday (3/28) | FantasyPros
PLAYER DraftKings Salary FanDuel Salary
Tyler Glasnow $8,900 $9,900
Chad Patrick $7,700 $8,000
Reid Detmers $6,800 $6,500
  • When Tyler Glasnow is healthy, he is one of the top pitchers on the planet. Last season featured his lowest strikeout rate since 2019, but it was still a strong 29%. His walk rate spiked to over 11%, which was also his worst since 2019. Take spring training for what it is, but he struck out 26 batters and walked only three over 15.2 innings.
  • If you’re someone who believes in spring training stats, Chad Patrick isn’t for you. Over 12.1 spring training innings, he had an ERA of 11.68 and a WHIP of 2.11. You also have to remember that spring training is a time for practicing your craft, so plenty of pitchers struggle only to dial back in for the regular season. Last season, Patrick had a 3.53 FIP with over a strikeout per inning. It was only one game, but the White Sox struck out 20 times in their first game against the Brewers.
  • Another pitcher who struggled during spring training, but who you can start if you’re looking to be thrifty, is Reid Detmers. It’s not the spring training struggles that have Detmers priced so low, but that he hasn’t been a starting pitcher since 2024. Last season, he pitched in relief and had a strikeout rate over 30%. Hopefully, he can make the transition from the bullpen to the rotation similarly to Kris Bubic last season.

Suggested Lineup Stacks

Los Angeles Dodgers Projected Lineup (3/28)

POS PLAYER DraftKings Salary FanDuel Salary
1B/OF Shohei Ohtani $6,500 $4,500
OF Kyle Tucker $5,500 $4,200
SS Mookie Betts $4,500 $3,900
C Will Smith $4,000 $3,500
1B Freddie Freeman $4,700 $3,600
OF Teoscar Hernandez $4,200 $3,500
OF Andy Pages $3,900 $3,000
2B/3B/OF Santiago Espinal $2,200 $2,100
2B/SS/3B Miguel Rojas $2,500 $2,300
  • Finding the money to get a few Dodgers into your lineup is going to require you to be frugal somewhere else. If you are willing to do that, the payoff could be large. The Dodgers have a matchup against lefty Eduardo Rodriguez today. The Dodgers finished third in OPS against left-handed pitchers last season.
  • Let’s start our Dodgers stack with Teoscar Hernandez. He’s certainly not cheap, but he is also far from the most expensive option on the Dodgers. In his career against Rodriguez, he has gone 10-for-26 with three doubles, a triple and three home runs.
  • Another player that you should be looking to fit into your lineup is Freddie Freeman. He doesn’t have quite as many at-bats against Rodriguez as Hernandez, but has been arguably even more productive. Freeman has gone 8-for-15 against Rodriguez with three doubles and a home run.
  • Finding money for Shohei Ohtani or Will Smith would also be a good choice, but let’s look at a cheap option to get exposure to the Dodgers’ lineup in Miguel Rojas. Six of his seven home runs last season came off a left-handed pitcher, which led to a .879 OPS against left-handed pitchers.

Kansas City Royals Projected Lineup (3/28)

POS PLAYER DraftKings Salary FanDuel Salary
3B/2B/OF Maikel Garcia $5,300 $3,100
SS Bobby Witt Jr. $6,300 $4,000
1B Vinnie Pasquantino $4,600 $3,200
C/1B Salvador Perez $4,200 $3,000
OF/1B Jac Caglianone $4,100 $2,500
2B/3B/OF Jonathan India $3,000 $2,700
C Carter Jensen $3,800 $2,700
OF/2B Isaac Collins $3,400 $2,700
OF Kyle Isbel $2,400 $2,300
  • Reynaldo Lopez missed nearly all of the 2025 season with shoulder surgery. He is back, but with vastly diminished velocity. He was struggling to reach 90 miles per hour (MPH) in spring training. When we last saw him in 2024, he was routinely in the mid-90s. Diminished velocity could lead to real struggles against a sneaky Royals lineup.
  • Jac Caglianone wasn’t in the starting lineup yesterday against a tough left-handed pitcher in Chris Sale. That won’t be the case today against Lopez. Caglianone has shown massive exit velocities. At his FanDuel price point, he is an easy choice.
  • At his price point, it’s hard not to roster Carter Jensen. Jensen didn’t have enough batted balls to qualify, but in his brief time in the Majors last season, he looked like an elite slugger. Only Oneil Cruz had a higher average exit velocity than Jensen. He was also in the top five in hard-hit rate at 58.3%.
  • Salvador Perez is the veteran on the team who has had previous success against Lopez — 6-for-26 with two home runs.
