Fantasy Football Consistency: Tight Ends (2026)

You either get one of the top tight ends in fantasy football or you punt the position.

I’ve examined some of the most consistent tight ends over the last few seasons for this article and will provide insight into whether players are more than a flash in the pan, so you’ll know what to expect from them. Let’s dive in.

Fantasy Football Consistency: Tight Ends

Trey McBride (TE – ARI)

Over the past two seasons, Trey McBride has been sensational. In 2024, he caught 111 passes for 1,146 yards and two touchdowns. In 2025, he caught 126 passes for 1,239 yards and 11 touchdowns. Of course, the touchdowns were very different, but he was an absolutely massive part of the Cardinals’ offense both seasons. Even back in 2023, he caught 81 passes for 825 yards and three scores.

The touchdowns might fluctuate more toward the 2-3 range as opposed to double digits this coming season, but he’s basically a shoo-in for 100 catches, which is amazing for PPR formats.

Brock Bowers (TE – LV)

Brock Bowers has only been in the NFL for two seasons, but he’s done enough to show what fantasy owners can expect.

As a rookie, Bowers caught 112 passes for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns in 17 games. He followed that up with 64 catches for 680 yards and seven touchdowns in just 12 games (eight starts). Bowers averaged 70.2 yards per game as a rookie and 56.7 as a sophomore.

Now, the Raiders will have a better offensive line, led by Tyler Linderbaum, and quarterback play with Kirk Cousins and/or Fernando Mendoza.

When Bowers is on the field, he’ll get plenty of targets.

George Kittle (TE – SF)

George Kittle is coming off a torn Achilles, but he’s still been one of the more consistent tight ends. In 2023 and 2024, he had over 1,000 yards in both seasons and a total of 14 touchdowns (six in 2023; eight in 2024).

In 11 games last season, Kittle caught 57 passes for 628 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 57.1 yards per game.

As for this season, it remains to be seen when Kittle will be fully healthy, though. He’ll also be competing with Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel and De’Zhaun Stribling for targets. Still, when Kittle is on the field, Brock Purdy will be looking for him.

Sam LaPorta (TE – DET)

Sam LaPorta has been in the NFL for three seasons and has been a consistent contributor since Day 1. His stats each season:

2023 (16 games): 86 receptions, 889 yards, 10 touchdowns (52.3 yards per game)
2024 (16 games): 60 receptions, 726 yards, 7 touchdowns (45.4 yards per game)
2025 (9 games): 40 receptions, 489 yards, 4 touchdowns (54.3 yards per game)

If not for a back injury, LaPorta was on his way to another stellar season. While he missed a good chunk of last season, he’s been cleared to return to camp from that injury.

LaPorta will compete for second in target share when on the field with Jameson Williams.

Hunter Henry (TE – NE)

If you end up in the TE2 range, Hunter Henry could be an option. Over the last two seasons, he averaged 42.1 and 45.2 yards per game. He scored seven touchdowns last season, though, his most since he scored six in 2023.

The Patriots did draft former Notre Dame tight end Eli Raridon 95th overall, but for 2026, I’m not sure that’ll impact Henry much. The additions of Romeo Doubs and A.J. Brown will, though.

If you’re looking for a solid PPR option outside of the top 12 tight ends with some touchdown potential, Henry could provide it.
