Without further ado, let’s dive into some of the questions and answers from my weekly Discord AMA.
Keeper League Questions
Which running back would you keep in half-PPR: Kenneth Walker III or Omarion Hampton?
I have Omarion Hampton one spot higher in my rankings, but you can’t go wrong with either running back. While the Los Angeles Chargers are already having issues with their offensive line, Hampton averaged 13.3 half-PPR fantasy points per game as a rookie. Meanwhile, Kenneth Walker III has a chance to have a featured workload for the first time since his rookie campaign.
In a TE-Premium league, should I keep Tucker Kraft in the eighth round or Blake Corum in the 16th?
Keeping Tucker Kraft in the eighth round is an easy call, even if this were a non-TE-Premium league. Blake Corum has limited upside, even at his draft cost, and would need an injury to Kyren Williams to be a league winner. However, Kraft averaged 14.7 PPR fantasy points per game before getting hurt last season, posting an 18.2% touchdown rate.
Redraft League Questions
How do you rank Ladd McConkey, Tee Higgins, Emeka Egbuka and Davante Adams in PPR?
Davante Adams is clearly last in my rankings (WR25). Meanwhile, Ladd McConkey (WR15), Tee Higgins (WR16) and Emeka Egbuka (WR18) are all similarly ranked and in the same tier for me.
Which I would draft first depends on how I construct my roster. McConkey has the most upside, while Higgins has the safest floor. Egbuka was the highest-ranked player of the trio before suffering a toe injury.
In a six-point passing touchdown scoring Superflex league, would you rather have Baker Mayfield, Tyler Shough, Malik Willis or C.J. Stroud as your QB2?
Six-point passing touchdown scoring should become the norm. That said, I have it ranked in the exact order you gave me, with C.J. Stroud clearly in last.
I would take Baker Mayfield if you want the safest floor of the remaining trio. However, Malik Willis has the highest upside thanks to his rushing abilities. Depending on who your QB1 is, I would draft Mayfield or Willis.
What is your favorite late-round high-upside/safe-floor tight end combo?
First and foremost, I wouldn’t recommend this strategy unless you have a deeper bench. I hate having to use two roster spots on one position.
That said, two late-round tight ends with safe floors are Juwan Johnson and Dalton Schultz. Both should be their team’s No. 2 target early in the season. Meanwhile, Terrance Ferguson and Kenyon Sadiq are two last-round tight ends with potentially significant upside.
Dynasty League Questions
Would you rather draft Fernando Mendoza at pick 1.06 or Zay Flowers in a Superflex rookie draft?
Unless you are desperate at the quarterback position, this is borderline highway robbery. Fernando Mendoza isn’t going to start right away as a rookie and won’t have meaningful fantasy upside once he takes over as the starter.
Meanwhile, Zay Flowers is coming off his first top-12 finish of his career in PPR scoring. Furthermore, the Baltimore Ravens did nothing to challenge his role as their clear-cut top wide receiver this offseason.
I’m on the clock in my 1-QB dynasty rookie draft; should I draft Denzel Boston, De’Zhaun Stribling or Jonah Coleman with the 1.10 pick?
While Jonah Coleman has become a popular sleeper pick in redraft leagues, I would not consider him with a first-round pick in dynasty rookie drafts.
De’Zhaun Stribling has been one of the hottest names in fantasy over the past few weeks. However, I preferred Denzel Boston to Stribling in dynasty earlier this offseason, and I’m sticking with that. Boston and KC Concepcion could form an impressive wide receiver duo for fantasy players once the Cleveland Browns draft a quarterback in 2027.
Should I trade away Christian Watson and a mid-to-late 2027 second-round pick for Breece Hall?
This is an easy smash-accept trade in dynasty. Christian Watson has played well at times but has struggled to stay healthy in his career.
Furthermore, Tucker Kraft is the Green Bay Packers’ best weapon in the passing game. Meanwhile, Breece Hall has had three consecutive top-20 finishes in PPR scoring since his rookie season. He should maintain high-end RB2 value, especially with the New York Jets’ young, developing offensive line.
Is Drake London, Tucker Kraft and Josh Downs for De’Von Achane, Chris Olave and Travis Etienne Jr. a fair trade in a 12-team TE-Premium dynasty league?
The TE-Premium scoring makes this a fairly even trade. I view Drake London and Chris Olave similarly in dynasty, making this trade primarily Tucker Kraft and Josh Downs for De’Von Achane and Travis Etienne Jr.
Unless I were in an awful situation at tight end, I would rather have the Achane/Olave/Etienne side, as finding reliable running backs is hard in dynasty leagues.
