Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team, Half-PPR (2026)

Week 1 of the preseason has come and gone, and we’re moving into mid-August. To get ready for fantasy drafts, below is a 12-team half-PPR fantasy football mock draft from the No. 2 overall pick, with the strategy focused on quarterback streaming.

With this strategy, I’ll be taking a quarterback in the final round.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft

Below are the results of the mock draft using FantasyPros’ Draft Wizard tool. The league had the following roster settings: 1-QB, 2-WR, 2-RB, 1-TE, 1-FLEX, 1-D/ST and six bench slots. This team was graded 97/100 by the Draft Wizard.

Round 1: Ja’Marr Chase (WR – CIN)

There’s really not much to say about this pick. Ja’ Marr Chase is going to dominate, and the Bengals have one of the easier schedules in the NFL this season.

Round 2: Brock Bowers (TE – LV)

Following this pick, there were just two picks between me, so I felt comfortable taking Brock Bowers here. He’s the one player I wouldn’t want to miss out on, as he’ll likely be the TE1 this season if he can stay healthy.

Bowers will be the No. 1 receiver for this Raiders offense led by Kirk Cousins and/or Fernando Mendoza.

Round 3: Nico Collins (WR – HOU)

Nico Collins played 15 games last season and caught 71 passes for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns. He’ll lead the Texans in target share, but I need C.J. Stroud to be more productive, especially in the passing touchdown department.

Round 4: Travis Etienne Jr. (RB – NO)

In all of my mock drafts, I’ve never ended up with Travis Etienne Jr., but I feel good about him here. He signed a massive deal with the Saints this offseason after rushing 260 times for 1,107 yards and seven touchdowns last season, while also catching 36 passes for 292 yards and six more scores.

Etienne will get plenty of action in the passing game and will be the team’s undisputed No. 1 RB.

Round 5: D’Andre Swift (RB – CHI)

While Kyle Monangai looms, D’Andre Swift has been consistent over the last three seasons, rushing 223+ times each season. Last season, he averaged 4.9 yards per carry and also caught 34 passes.

Monangai will be a steady low-end RB2.

Round 6: Christian Watson (WR – GB)

With Romeo Doubs signing with the New England Patriots, this has more than cleared the way for Christian Watson to be the No. 1 WR in the Packers’ offense.

Of course, Watson needs to stay healthy, though, which has been easier said than done. He played just 10 games last season, but averaged 17.5 yards per catch and scored six times.

I expect Watson to land on the injury report at some time, but he has the potential for massive weeks when he’s on the field.

Round 7: Jadarian Price (RB – SEA)

After taking Travis Etienne Jr. and D’Andre Swift, I wanted to load up on more running back talent. Jadarian Price has a chance to lead this backfield with Zach Charbonnet still recovering from his knee injury. Price is explosive, and I’ll be curious to see if he gets passing game work in the NFL.

Round 8: Jacory Croskey-Merritt (RB – WSH)

Jacory Croskey-Merritt won’t get much passing game work, but he should be the lead ball-carrier for the Commanders to start the season. There are other backs like Rachaad White and Kaytron Allen looming, but White is more of a pass-catching specialist, and Allen is a rookie. Croskey-Merritt spot should be safe for a bit.

Round 9: Alec Pierce (WR – IND)

Alec Pierce signed a massive $100+ million deal to be the No. 1 WR for the Colts. He caught just 47 passes last year, but went for over 1,000 yards. With Daniel Jones seemingly ready to go and Michael Pittman Jr. shipped out of town, Pierce is in for a big-time season once he’s healthy and on the field even with the addition of Keenan Allen.

Round 10: Khalil Shakir (WR – BUF)

The addition of DJ Moore makes Khalil Shakir a lot less appealing, but he has some PPR upside and could be a solid emergency FLEX option.

Round 11: George Kittle (TE – SF)

It sounds like George Kittle could potentially be ready for Week 1. While I think it will be slow going, he will still have a role in this offense big enough that the 11th-round pick will provide some value. In 11 games last season, Kittle caught 57 passes for 628 yards and seven touchdowns.

Round 12: MarShawn Lloyd (RB – GB)

MarShawn Lloyd can never stay healthy, but if something happens with Josh Jacobs and his legal situation, Lloyd should see an extended run. If nothing comes of Jacobs’ legal troubles, I’d drop Lloyd.

Round 13: Denver Broncos D/ST

This is a plug-and-play defense every week.

Round 14: Matthew Stafford (QB – LAR)

Matthew Stafford is coming off an MVP win after throwing for 4,707 yards and 46 touchdowns. While I don’t expect that to happen again, he still has incredible pass-catchers around him to rack up the yardage.
