Josh Naylor status for Games 3 and 4 unclear
by Nicholas Rodriguez | Mon, Oct 6th 8:35pm EDT
Josh Naylor did not travel with the team to Detroit as he and his wife await the birth of their first child, leaving his availability for Game 3 on Tuesday and Game 4 on Wednesday of the ALDS against the Detroit Tigers uncertain. (Reuters)
Fantasy Impact:
In anticipation of Naylor’s potential absence, Eugenio Suarez took ground balls at first base on Friday, the day before Game 1. Suarez has only played three career games at the position, all of which occurred this season. Additionally, rookie Ben Williamson participated in fielding drills at third base. If Naylor is sidelined, Suarez would likely move to first base and Williamson to third. Naylor is 0-for-8 through the first two games of the series.
