Acosta injured himself while scretching to make a backhanded play during individual pregame work on Wednesday. He will be examined to determine the severity of his injury. The 23-year-old appeared in 19 games for the Marlins in 2025, also hitting .224 with 13 home runs, 33 stolen bases, and a .680 OPS across 115 Triple-A contests.
