Julian Fernandez optioned to Triple-A

Fernandez was claimed off waivers from the Dodgers in August and made three appearances out of Washington's bullpen during the final week of last season. He surrendered five runs with a 5:3 K:BB across five spring innings and was unable to secure a spot on the Opening Day roster. (Nationals Communications)
