Ryan O'Hearn goes deep in Pirates' debut Thursday

by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Thu, Mar 26th 10:00pm EDT

Ryan O'Hearn went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Pittsburgh's 11-7 loss to the Mets on Opening Day.

Fantasy Impact:

O'Hearn started in right field for the Pirates in his Pittsburgh debut and had hits in his final two at bats of the season opener. His first hit in a Pirate uniform was a one-out, solo home run off of Tobias Myers in the top of the sixth inning. He then singled and scored on a two-run double by Nick Gonzales in the top of the ninth. O'Hearn hit a career-high 17 home runs last season with Baltimore and San Diego and could easily reach, or exceed, that number in 2026 as he should start most days in Pittsburgh.
