Mitch Keller tosses six shutout innings in no decision Saturday

by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Sat, Mar 28th 11:02pm EDT

Mitch Keller allowed just three hits in six scoreless innings against the Mets on Saturday, but settled for a no decision. The righthander did not allow a walk and struck out three. The Mets won the game, 4-2, in 11 innings.

Fantasy Impact:

Keller, who was locked in a pitcher's duel with New York's David Peterson, threw 77 pitches in his first start of the year and allowed only three singles in his six innings. Keller went 6-15 for the Pirates last season, but had a respectable 4.19 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP. An All-Star in 2023, Keller lines up for a home start against the Orioles next weekend.
