Steven Matz allowed one earned run on two hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings in Saturday's 7-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins.
Fantasy Impact:
Matz was dominant in this one, tossing 1-2-3 innings in the first, fourth, fifth and sixth. His only trouble came in the second, when he issued a walk and Brooks Lee delivered an RBI single. Through two starts, Matz owns a 2-0 record with a 4.09 ERA and 1.00 WHIP to go with 10 strikeouts over 11 innings. His next outing is lined up for Friday against the New York Yankees.
