Kevin McGonigle swipes a bag Friday versus Reds
by Brenton Kemp | Tigers Correspondent | Sat, Apr 25th 11:50am EDT
Tigers infielder Kevin McGonigle went 1-for-3 with a walk, a hit by pitch, and a stolen base in Friday's 9-8 loss to the Reds.
Fantasy Impact:
McGonigle was plunked by Reds reliever Brock Burke in the top of the seventh before stealing second base, although he did not come around to score. He also singled and scored a run in the contest. Originally on the bubble to break camp with the Tigers, MLB's consensus No. 2 prospect has exceeded all expectations in his rookie season, slashing .320/.416/.495 with a homer, 10 doubles, two triples, two stolen bases, and a .911 OPS through his first 26 big league games.
