Jack Flaherty ambushed in loss to Reds Saturday
by Brenton Kemp | Tigers Correspondent | Sat, Apr 25th 10:27pm EDT
Tigers right-hander Jack Flaherty was shelled for six earned runs in just two innings of work while taking the loss Saturday against the Reds.
Fantasy Impact:
The Reds got to Flaherty early and often in this one, ambushing him for two home runs in the first inning and another in the third. All told, the veteran surrendered six earned runs on five hits, including the three home runs, and a pair of walks against four strikeouts in his very brief start on Saturday. Flaherty has lasted just 5 1/3 innings over his last two starts and will carry an elevated 5.33 ERA into his next scheduled start at home against the Rangers on Friday.
