Oneil Cruz went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base during the Pirates' 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks on Thursday. He was also hit by a pitch.
Fantasy Impact:
Cruz reached base twice on Thursday with his walk and stolen base occurring in the ninth inning against Paul Sewald. It was his 13th stolen base of the year as he remains one behind Washington's Nasim Nunez for the National League lead. However, Cruz has cooled off considerably and is hitting just .169 (11-for-65) with 27 strikeouts over his last 15 games. His season average is down to .245 - the lowest it has been since he started the year 2-for-14 in his first four games. Overall, he is slashing .245/.309/.464 with nine home runs, 28 RBI, and 13 steals.
