Mitch Keller posts another quality start Thursday

by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Fri, May 8th 8:01am EDT

Mitch Keller picked up his fourth win of the season as he went six innings and allowed two runs on four hits, walked two, and struck out four on Thursday. Pittsburgh defeated Arizona, 4-2.

Fantasy Impact:

Keller improved to 4-1 on the season with another strong showing. He did allow a solo home run to Corbin Carroll in the third - just the second home run he has allowed all season - but he has now given up two runs or fewer in six of his eight starts. If you remove his start against Washington on April 14, where he allowed five runs in four innings, Keller is 4-0 with a 2.09 ERA in his other seven starts. All told, the righthander is 4-1 with a 2.87 ERA and a 35:14 K:BB ratio across 47 innings this season. He's slated for a home start against Colorado on Wednesday.
