Ryan Waldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a run scored and three runs batted in on Sunday, lifting the Diamondbacks to a 5-1 win over the Mets.
Fantasy Impact:
The top Diamondbacks' prospect was called up on Friday and has already made an impact in the Arizona lineup. He singled in his first major league at bat on Friday then, after a dud on Saturday, rebounded with a two-hit, three-RBI performance on Sunday. Waldschmidt jump-started the offense on Sunday, ripping a two-run double in the second to give Arizona a 2-0 lead. He added an RBI single in the sixth which extended the lead to 3-1. In three major league games, Waldschmidt is 3-for-8 with three runs batted in. It appears that, most likely, he will play everyday in left field and, while there will be some off days, he could develop into a must-own fantasy player as the year progresses. You may want to pounce before it's too late.
