Bryce Elder beat up by Red Sox
by Nate Miller | Braves Correspondent | Thu, May 28th 10:30am EDT
Bryce Elder gave up six runs (five earned) on nine hits and one walk while striking out just one over 3 1/3 innings in Wednesday's 8-0 loss to the Red Sox.
Fantasy Impact:
The first three frames of Wednesday's outing went well enough for Elder, as he held the Red Sox scoreless in what seemed to be shaping up as a pitcher's duel. The fourth inning, however, told a different story, as Elder retired just one batter while being tagged for more runs than his previous three starts combined. Elder has had a fantastic first third of the season, so he's earned the patience of fantasy managers. Another dud like this will certainly test that.
