Scheduled starter Troy Melton was scratched due to a back issue on Monday, thrusting Anderson into his second start of the season. Given the circumstances, he held his own while allowing two hits and two walks to go along with five strikeouts in his 59 pitches across 2 2/3 innings. The righty has had an up-and-down season in his return to the majors, but owns a solid 3.88 ERA through 26 appearances on the campaign.
