Michael Wacha's solid K total isn't enough as Royals fall

Michael Wacha allowed four earned runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out seven over six innings in Saturday's loss to the Phillies.

After the defeat, Wacha now owns a 3.45 ERA and 1.16 WHIP with a 5-6 record across 18 starts. He gave up back-to-back homers in the fourth inning before giving up another solo shot in the sixth, leaving him with four earned runs. While he didn't pick up his fourth consecutive quality start, he has gone at least six innings in five straight. He'll get the Mets in his last outing before the All-Star break.
