Jose Soriano allowed three earned runs on five hits and two walks over five innings in Sunday's loss to the Twins.

Soriano has struggled to miss opposing bats of late, allowing three earned runs or more in five of his last seven trips to the mound. The right-hander remains one of the more reliable starting options as part of an underperforming Angels rotation for manager Kurt Suzuki, carrying a 3.49 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with an 8-6 record and 9.3 K/9 ratio across 20 starts.
