Pedro Ramirez went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's 2-1 loss against the New York Yankees.

Fantasy Impact: Ramirez served as the designated hitter on Sunday and, while he did not record a hit, he was able to draw a walk and steal second base. He owns a .325/.391/.481 slash line with one home run and five stolen bases over his last 30 games. Despite the strong production, he remains difficult to trust in season-long leagues due to his inconsistent playing time.

Colin Rea allowed two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out seven across six innings in Sunday's 2-1 loss against the New York Yankees.

Fantasy Impact: The only damage against Rea came on a two-run home run by Jose Caballero in the third inning. Aside from that, he was excellent, striking out a season-high seven batters. Over his last seven starts, he owns a 3.76 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with 31 strikeouts across 38.1 innings. He is scheduled to make his next start on Saturday against the Kansas City Royals.

Fantasy Impact: Southisene was in High-A in the Cubs organization. He'll work his way up the Blue Jays minor league system.

Fantasy Impact: Bateman has shown good bat to ball ability in Triple-A, hitting .312 with 20 stolen bases this season. He could have a chance to get an opportunity in the majors with Toronto this season, especially if Daulton Varsho is traded.

The Blue Jays acquired RHP Jameson Taillon from the Cubs for cash considerations or a player to be named later.

Fantasy Impact: Taillon was designated for assignment earlier this week. It is unclear what role he will be entering with Toronto.

The Cubs sent RHP Andrew Wantz outright to Triple-A Iowa.

Fantasy Impact: Wantz passed through waivers unclaimed after he was designated for assignment. He will remain in the Cubs organization.

David Peterson allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits without issuing a walk while striking out eight over 6.1 innings in Saturday's 5-2 win over the New York Yankees.

Fantasy Impact: Peterson surrendered a 370-foot home run to Spencer Jones in the seventh inning but was otherwise dominant on Saturday. He recorded a season-high eight strikeouts and has logged quality starts in two of his last three outings. He also hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in any of his last four starts. Peterson is scheduled to make his next start on Thursday against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Fantasy Impact: Hollowell will hit the shelf after his longest stint at the MLB level this season, as he has been with the Cubs since June 29th. The right-hander has a 2.51 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings in Chicago this year. Antoine Kelly was recalled in a corresponding move.

Hoby Milner began a rehab assignment on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact: Milner began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Iowa. He is expected to need at least one more rehab appearance.

Justin Steele is scheduled for a "touch and feel" mound session."

Fantasy Impact: Steele is slated to take the mound sometime this weekend.

Ethan Roberts is on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Iowa.

Fantasy Impact: Roberts made a rehab appearance on Wednesday.

Alex Bregman went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Tuesday's 10-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Fantasy Impact: Bregman followed up Monday's four-hit performance with a three-hit game pn Tuesday and has collected three extra-base hits over his last two contests. He'll look to stay hot on Wednesday against Dustin May, whom he's 1-for-5 with a home run against in his career.

Fantasy Impact: Bethancourt didn't crack the Cubs' roster out of training camp, and has hit .262 with 11 homers, five stolen bases, and a .775 OPS across 59 games with Triple-A Iowa. The Yankees have been in search of catching help approaching the Aug. 3 trade deadline with starter Austin Wells enduring a wildly disappointing season at the plate.

Fantasy Impact: Harvey threw a successful bullpen session on Saturday and is expected to begin a rehab assignment on Tuesday. Since he has been sidelined since April 9 due to a stress reaction near his right triceps/shoulder area, the Chicago Cubs will likely take a cautious approach and gradually build up his workload.
