Latest Injury News

Eagles WR A.J. Brown has officially been ruled out for Monday’s game against Tampa Bay. (Source: Mike Garafolo on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Brown is still dealing with a knee injury he suffered in Week 18. After being unable to practice in either session this week, he will miss the team’s game in Tampa Bay. Brown will continue to rehab in the hopes of returning in the divisional round, should the Eagles advance.

DeVonta Smith told reporters that he expects to play in Monday's Wild Card game against the Buccaneers. (Source: Jeff McLane on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Smith was a full participant in the Eagles walk through on Thursday. He was sidelined in Week 18, but remains on track to returning for the playoffs.

Jalen Hurts underwent X-rays that showed no fracture in the middle finger on his throwing hand that he dislocated Sunday. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Hurts is reportedly taking it day-by-day with the Eagles taking on the Buccaneers on Monday. Barring any late setbacks, Hurts should be on the field for that game as the Eagles look to find some momentum back after finishing the regular season on a poor note.

Eagles RB D'Andre Swift is officially inactive for a Week 18 matchup with the Giants.

Fantasy Impact: Swift is dealing with an illness and was a late addition to the injury report on Friday. The team will likely turn the primary running back duties over to Kenneth Gainwell, with Boston Scott and Rashaad Penny serving as the backups.

Darius Slay (knee) will sit out Week 18's game against the Giants. (Source: Ralph Vacchiano on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Slay returned to practice this week, but the Eagles are not going to risk putting the five-time Pro Bowler back on the field with the playoffs looming. Slay is expected to be fully ready to go for the postseason.

The Eagles officially activated Avonte Maddox from injured reserve. (Source: Philadelphia Eagles on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Maddox had his practice window opened on December 21. He has been sidelined since Week 2. His return should help what has been a struggling Eagles' secondary.

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert, who was dealing with a fractured forearm, is off the team's injury report and good to go for Week 14's Sunday night matchup with the Dallas Cowboys. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Goedert has not played for the last few weeks as he has recovered, and the Eagles may have felt some of the effects of his absence. Philly suffered only its second loss of the year, and A.J. Brown has performed below his lofty standards, something coaches potentially attributed to Goedert's absence. He locks in as a startable TE in all formats in what could be a high-scoring contest.

Julio Jones (groin) was a non-participant at Philadelphia's practice on Wednesday. (Source: Philadelphia Eagles on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The veteran was not able to take the field at practice due to a groin injury that hindered him. He must have suffered it recently, and it could put his status for Week 14 in jeopardy if he doesn't return to practice within the next couple of days. He failed to receive even a single target in Week 13, so his potential absence wouldn't carry any heavy implications for fantasy purposes on Sunday night.

Fletcher Cox has been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers. (Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com)

Fantasy Impact: Cox left the Eagles' game early last week against the Bills and did not return. He missed practice all week, so he is likely on the wrong end of questionable to suit up this week.

Eagles' coach Nick Sirianni said "we'll see" regarding the status of Lane Johnson on Sunday against the 49ers. (Source: Martin Frank on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Johnson logged a full practice on Thursday, which is a good sign for his status on Sunday. Sirianni's comments make it seem like his status is still up in the air though. We'll see what his injury designation is.

The Philadelphia Eagles have activated WR Quez Watkins (hamstring) to their 53-man roster ahead of Week 12. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The Eagles have been looking desperately for a WR3 option all season, resorting to signing Julio Jones while Watkins has dealt with a nagging hamstring that has hindered him and kept him out for the majority of the season. Watkins won't be much of a player to watch for fantasy purposes, but "Fast Batman" provides Philly with another receiving option to help when teams focus on the Eagles' outside threats, and he can threaten with his own speed. He is still questionable to play.

Eagles TE Grant Calcaterra (ankle) is officially ruled out for Sunday’s matchup with the Bills. (Source: Eagles on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Calcaterra is dealing with an ankle injury and will not suit up against Buffalo. The 24-year-old will now miss his second straight game after missing last week with a concussion. Fantasy managers should expect Jack Stoll and Albert Okwuegbunam to see the bulk of the snaps against Buffalo.

Nakobe Dean (foot) placed on IR

By Ari Koslow

The Eagles placed Nakobe Dean on injured reserve. (Source: Philadelphia Eagles on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Dean is dealing with a Lisfranc sprain. He will have to miss at least the Eagles next four games after this move. He'll be first eligible to return in Week 15 against the Seahawks.

The Eagles have opened the 21-day practice windows for S Justin Evans. (Source: Ralph Vacchiano on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Evans landed on injured reserve in early October with a knee injury. The 28-year-old safety began the season as a starter and could return and play meaningful snaps for the Eagles’ defense soon.

The Philadelphia Eagles are ruling out rookie DL Jalen Carter (ankle) against the New York Jets in Week 6. (Source: Philadelphia Eagles on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Carter has been dominant even as a rookie, recording two forced fumbles, 3.5 sacks and 11 pressures in five games. The Eagles have one of the deepest pass-rushing rooms, meaning they can manage without Carter, though his absence will be notable, as he is already well on his way to a potential Defensive Rookie of the Year-caliber season.

Eagles RB Rashaad Penny is officially inactive for a Week 5 matchup with the Rams.

Fantasy Impact: Penny is a healthy scratch again for the Eagles. The veteran will likely remain a weekly inactive unless the Eagles were to suffer an injury at running back. Fantasy managers can comfortably drop Penny.

Britain Covey (concussion) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams. (Source: Philadelphia Eagles on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Covey's status for Week 5 is in jeopardy because of a concussion. He's in the NFL's protocols right now, but he was able to log a full practice on Friday, which indicates that he's trending towards playing. He doesn't get much work as a receiver, but his presence is valued as a key special-teams player on this roster.

Eagles RB Boston Scott (concussion) practiced in full Thursday. (Source: Eagles on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Scott has now logged consecutive full practice sessions after missing Week 3 with a concussion. If he is able to play in Week 4, he should operate as the RB3 in the Eagles’ offense.

Jason Kelce told ESPN that many Eagles players, including quarterback Jalen Hurts, played through flu-like symptoms during Monday's win over the Buccaneers. (Source: ESPN.com)

Fantasy Impact: "It feels like everyone in the world is [sick] right now," Kelce said. "It's kind of ramping up again. We had a lot of guys on the team this week ... it's kind of maybe that time of year right now in Philly." Hurts, who said that he has dealt with similar symptoms in previous Monday night games, still managed to produce 277 passing yards, 28 rushing yards, two total touchdowns, and two interceptions. The Eagles won by a score of 25-11.

Kenneth Gainwell (ribs) is good to go for Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. (Source: Philadelphia Eagles on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Gainwell missed Week 2 because of an injury to his ribs, but he was able to return to practice this week and is now off the injury report for Philadelphia's game on Monday. He should play at full capacity, and it will be interesting to see how the team splits work between him and D'Andre Swift against the Buccaneers.
